Thanks for the heads up on this issue and how to resolve it. I use surround sound and have no issues, though I suspect that may have to do with how I have it all set up. If you happen to use the Realtek HD Audio Manager, and have a 5.1 system, try setting the manager to 7.1, then disabled the "Side pair" there in the Audio Manager. 2- Go in the game folder , Far Cry 4 \ Support \ Software \ DirectX and install a DXSETUP . ( i recommend right click and run as admin ). 3 Restart the PC . 4- Play. Hope this helps . ( I run my game with sound blaster Z with 5.1 sorround sound and DTS enabled without issues now after deleting the files and running DXSETUP that copy some new There is still no Sound in this Game except in the first Cutscene. Last time I remember audio quality being this bad was with the NPCs in Far Cry 3, but here it's everything, there's no umph to the audio at all, everything sounds dull and echo-y, sailing across the seas is boring and is a massive downgrade from what there was in AC 4 (even from the little I played of Odyssey it sounds incredibly worse
I have tried so many different audio fixes and tinkering but nothing has worked to fix the audio graininess. It is extremely immersion breaking and makes me nearly want to refund the game over it. This was a massive problem for assassins creed games of recent times and it’s disheartening to see it now seep into the far cry franchise. Far Cry 3 is still a good looking game but in some moments violet sky, bright night and grass really bothers me. I do reshade, the way I would like to see game. Many of you liked my AC2 reshade, so I thought I will continue to share next ones.
I like the game but i cant stand how bad the audio quality is for the voices of all the npcs and main protaganists and i see a lot of people having this issue is there a fix?
Check your audio drivers for updates. Change Surround Sound to Stereo. I'm going to guess you're on headphones/2 front speakers and just some sounds aren't coming through? Lots of people fixed dialogue sounds by following the directions in the Ubisoft thread I linked to. ziggs3 • 9 yr. ago.
