All you need to do is check your software version. update your infotainment up to at least v70.00.21 (Make sure to do this first!) if it is not already.
Per the dealership yesterday, CX50 is the only current model with wireless CarPlay. He said other models should start getting it by next summer. Only the 2023 Mazda CX-50 and I believe the MaDa MX-5 got it currently. Strangely, it Canada, the 2021 Mazda CX-5 also got it but then it got removed in the 2021.5 model year. The 2019 Mazda CX-5 is sleek, sophisticated and powerful. It enters the 2019 model year with a variety of updates, including a more powerful engine, a new 2.2-liter diesel engine option, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ and a variety of other new convenience features. Hope 2021 CX-9 has required hardwares for enabling wireless carplay via software update. Cplay2Air has a known issue with Mazda's infotainment software. For that matter, Cplay2Air has a number of issues with several vehicle manufacturers' software, however the Mazda conflict is well documented by disappointed customers of Cplay2Air. Having a bit of an issue with the Android Auto as it seems to be greyed out both in the settings menu and the applications menu. It sounds like you're experiencing issues when attempting to use your iPod touch with your car stereo. Specifically, your car stereo isn't recognizing that your iPod touch is connected. We can understand how this would be an issue. This isn’t really that surprising; the Mazda CX-50 launched with touchscreen CarPlay functionality (it’s buried in a submenu but it’s there) and the new CX-90 full-size crossover also supports touchscreen interaction within phone mirroring.
