Hi all, New member here, having bought an 08 petrol fabia a few months ago and it has now started doing this when idleing, likelihood of this being the mass air flow sensor or something more difficult/costly? Fabia_Idle.mp4 Cheers for any help.

Skoda Fabia 1.2 Classic. BMD Engine. 2007. I intended to remove and examine the spark plugs today since I have new ones on the way ( Bosch Super Plus FR7HC+ Spark Plugs ). However, once I pulled the injectors out (which were a bit old I should probably get another 2 new ones) the spark plugs had loads of dust, little bits and even a small fly
The engine, which weighed a modest 93 kg, quickly came under the hood of Škoda Octavia, Fabia, Seat Ibiza, Leon and many other models of the group. Depending on the variant, the engine produces 82, 86, 90, 95, 110 and 115 hp and a torque of 160-200 Nm. Interestingly, even the relatively heavy Octavia handles this engine well in everyday work.

Škoda Fabia. Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014) Petrol engines advice if buying a mk2. Over in the mk.1 forum I've been getting some great advice as i've been contemplating an old mk1 when our leased Yeti has to go back in 8 weeks time. But i'm also considering the option of spending a bit more and getting a mk2 (07/08/09/10 plate) and maybe an
11.9k. Location: Brighton, UK. Model: Fabia 2.0 MPI Elegance. Posted 16 January, 2022. Most aging engines jump at idle, please try and ignore the MFA fuel consumption reading, particularly at idle, it is uselessly inaccurate. There's nothing wrong with your car, it's just getting older. 2.
Half way to where I was going, engine management light, pulled over, switched off, checked the handbook and decided to abandon the trip and take it home. Just put a new Bosch Battery in it like 2 weeks ago, took it up to where I bought it, they tested it said it was fine.
Thanks Indivic, The Skoda Fabia is BS 3, but it is equivalent to BS 4. It has been certified as low polluting vehicle and hence Fabia is still getting registered in all metros'. The Euro 4 is expected after 3 months. Thats a long wait. The dealer is getting registered in Bangalore city only. Hence no problem.
A month ago the engine management light came on. I went to the dealer for a quick and reliable diagnosis as I need the car on the road. The fault was on cylinder 1 so they moved the injector to cylinder 2 and the coil to cylinder 3. Everything was fine but the light and misfire returned yesterday

Okay so we have a problem! Original compression test (done on a warm but probably not full temp engine) was on 21st August, so 4 weeks ago, and result was 11 / 9.5 / 9.5 Today we have: Cold Engine: 11 / 9 / 7.75 Cold Engine + Oil: 12.5 / 10.5 / 9 - All roughly + 1.5 but cold engine presumably tolerances are greater Hot Engine: 11.5 / 9.5 / 8.25
